Plan cost with Purpose

We know the growth is coming. It is inevitable. This does not make the cost of that growth the responsibility of our citizens.

We must use common sense solutions (read CUTTING UNNECESSARY SPENDING) so we don't have to increase the cost on our residents.

Collaborate Openly

We have a phenomenal staff in Green Cove but the staff are not the only ones whose input I value.

We must not only be collaborative with our residents and businesses but also remember they are the ‘customer’.

Zero Base Budget

Zero base budget means we don't start from last year's number. Each department must start at zero and budget from that point. As each new year arrives, new needs and circumstances come about. We must justify each department's budget, it is the tax payer’s money after all!

Red Tape issues

We must make this city more friendly for residents and businesses by removing the hoops of planning and zoning. As it sits, our code is so bloated that even City Hall doesn't always have the right answer.

Pulling a permit must be brought back to realistic standards, not rocket science.
